Narai Thai Restaurant, Northcote
Reviews for Narai Thai Restaurant
I'm less impressed with this cafe. I've eaten there a couple of times, picked up take-away many more times, & found the quality of some dishes that I'd expect to be well done isn't always. I'd call it a bit inconsistent.
The calamari salad is brilliant, & I've been happy with the Tom Yun soup. Less happy with some main dishes, such as Pad Thai, which I thought they made quite ordinary. Think there are better ones around, though I'll go back whenever I want calamari salad!
This little Thai restaurant is awesome. (and not just because it's 2 minutes from where I live) i have been to Narai many times, to dine in and also to pick up takeaway, and I have never been let down by the quality and taste of the food. The Thum Yum Soup entree is delicious, with just enough heat to get your tastebuds dancing. My favourite entree however is either the curry puffs or the Satay, and the entree serves are very generous. My most recent main meal was the Moor Yang...Charcoal grilled marinated pork, and it is delicious, perfectly cooked, simple flavour, that goes lovely with steamed rice.
The service at Narai is always extremely friendly, the staff always appear happy to see you, and always ask how you enjoyed the meal. They have a great selection of vegetarian meals also, .
